TEDxCoventGardenWomen is London’s leading TEDx dedicated to sharing ideas and addressing issues of gender and identity. Drawing on the experiences of an international network of speakers, we celebrate the transformative power of women, girls and all those who shed light on different realities through ideas worth spreading.
Weaving compelling stories along the intersections of race and gender, identity and politics, business and creativity, our speakers inspire, provoke, change perspectives and challenge injustice. Welcome to TEDxCoventGardenWomen.
Find your Momentum
This year, TEDxCoventGardenWomen is focused on the theme of Momentum – sharing the bold ideas that sustain motion and send waves through the way we think, work and live. From the sparks of inspiration that get us going, to the deep-rooted motivations that help us stay the path, this year’s event celebrates the moving power of momentum as a force for change.

About TED and TEDx
TED is a nonprofit organisation devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started in California 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives. The two annual TED Conferences invite the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes or less. TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson and Steve Jobbs, their talks are then made available to watch free on TED.com.
The annual TED Conference takes place each spring in Vancouver, British Columbia, along with the TEDActive simulcast event in nearby Whistler.

TEDx, x = independently organised event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connections. With over 11,000 past events taking place – the community that follows has grown considerably, and some TEDx talks turn into TED talks.

In 2013 we launched our very first event, Unlabelled – challenging the restrictive words that promote intolerance and keep us from living more fulfilling lives. Bringing together speakers from around the world, we combined art and activism, poetry, passion and business to create an event that included voices such as Laura Bates, Leyla Hussein, and Natasha Walter.
